This Jordan 4 Retro is based on the 1989 OG ‘Fire Red’ colorway, although its name references fictional character Mars Blackmon. A picture of Mars, who was made famous by the movies ‘She’s Gotta Have It’ as well as a series of subsequent Air Jordan commercials, appears on the side profile of the shoe. The black and white that make up most of the design are highlighted by Varsity Red on the sole and lace application. A 2012 retro of the colorway was released without the Mars Blackmon graphic.
